Domasco Introduces GAC EMPOW in Qatar: A Unique, Sporty Sedan

Doha: Doha Marketing Services Company launched the GAC EMPOW, a highly-anticipated sporty sedan featuring cutting-edge design and innovations in Qatar. Designed with the genes of a sports car, the EMPOW is engineered for both style and performance, enhancing its appeal to the diverse driving demands of young consumers.

Featuring a bold lightweight design with futuristic lines, the EMPOW has a distinctly original sporty appearance, which is continued on the interior with bright supercar-style leather panels. Integrated twin smart touchscreens provide an ultra-modern, ergonomic cabin experience. Design details like the fighter jet inspired front grille, beautiful 18-inch alloys and quad exhausts at the rear give the EMPOW a unique muscle-car feel, reinforced by the gratifyingly loud engine roar that can be heard from the driver's seat.

The EMPOW is the first smart sedan in the GAC range to feature GPMA architecture. Under the hood, the EMPOW has a 1.5L turbo-power engine that utilizes GAC Motor's proprietary MegaWave technology. It does 0-100 kmph in 6.95 seconds, with a 7-speed DCT transmission and 270 Nm of torque, while consuming just 5.7L of fuel per 100km.

Ingenious sporty features include the flat bottom steering wheel, a joystick-style shifter inspired by aircraft cockpits, and a bottom-hinged accelerator pedal which facilitates a smooth and seamless handling experience.

The EMPOW has a 0.26Cd ultra-low drag coefficient, making it more powerful when accelerating upwind. The ultra-low vehicle height lowers the centre of gravity for steadier motion. The front MacPherson independent suspension and a rear multi-link independent suspension reduce vibration to guarantee a comfortable riding experience and ultimate driving pleasure.

Car enthusiasts can enjoy 4 driving modes in the EMPOW, ranging from street traffic to racing track thrills. The Eco Mode saves fuel while delivering a smooth driving experience. Comfort Mode allows a relaxed and quiet journey. Sports Mode increases the sensitivity of the accelerator and decreases response time while enjoying the powerful exhaust sound and thrilling handling. There is even a DIY Mode that lets drivers customize their own mode through 8 DIY modules.

The EMPOW offers an abundance of technology for its price point. Standard features include adaptive cruise control, power-adjusted driver’s seat, power sunroof, and rear parking sensors with camera. The car is also packed with safety features including forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection & lane change assist, traffic jam assist, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist.
